This is exactly what President
Uhuru Kenyatta is doing. He is
destroying those who made him
the President and is now
embracing those who never
supported his Presidency.
This can be supported by the
ongoing wrangles between
Uhuru’s party TNA and URP
which is associated with Deputy
President, William Ruto.
Like what Machiavelli said, Uhuru
is consolidating power by
undermining the TNA/ URP pre-
election agreement and Ruto is
being seen as an “idler” in the
Jubilee alliance.
Others sources intimate that
Uhuru is extending an olive
branch to former Prime Minister
Raila Odinga and their
relationship is improving day by
day.
In fact the first person, who Raila
telephoned when he jetted in on
Saturday from his three month
political tour of the US, is
President Uhuru Kenyatta.
It is also, President Uhuru
Kenyatta who ordered the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs to
send a sleek Mercedes Benz,
designated PROTOCOL 2 for
arriving foreign dignitaries, to
carry the CORD leader to Uhuru
Park but his sycophants rejected
it.
The two enjoy a warm
relationship calling each other
brothers.
“Uhuru and Raila talk everyday
on issues affecting the country
without the knowledge of Ruto
and former Vice President,
Kalonzo Musyoka,” one aide of
Raila odinga said.
He said even President Kenyatta
wished Raila Odinga a good
journey when he went to the US
in mid March this year.
