Egerton Radio’s Staff, Crew and Fans

visitations to three different
children’s homes. According to
sources from the station, the staff
and crew at the Nakuru-based radio
station will on Saturday set out at

Home in Nakuru before heading to
Njoro Special School and later to
Riziki Children’s Home in Kabarak.
Speaking to us via
phone, the organizer of the initiative
Mr Daniel Kipchumba said that this
is part of the Stations Corporate
Social Responsibility initiatives. “We
want to live up to our tag line that
states ‘serving the community’” Mr
Kipchumba said.
Kipchumba, who is also the station’s
broadcast journalist and technical
assistant said that the Egerton
University, Nakuru Town Campus
SDA Choir has volunteered to
accompany the group. “The Nakuru
Principal has volunteered to provide
means of transport on the material

At the Arap Moi Children’s Home
and the Njoro Special School, the
Egerton Radio crew will have a word
of prayer led by the SDA choir before
handing over the various gifts to the
children. The Choir will entertain
the children during the session.
Riziki Children’s Home will mark the
climax of the three in one visit with
lots of activities being done. There
will be tree planting activities,
entertainment provided by the
Egerton Radio staff, bonding, face
painting and nyama choma. Egerton
University’s finest DJ Swamkid will
be doing his stuff on the decks with
other presenters including ZJ,
Muniumuniu, Obed Fanky, Ken Chira
among others.
Mr Kipchumba revealed that this will
mark the beginning of several
corporate social responsibility
programs planned by Egerton Radio
within and without Nakuru County.
He appealed to sponsors and
partners to come out and support
