Cristiano Ronaldo’s extra ankle bone helps him score stunners… Seriously

Sunday, 1 June 2014

Okay, put this story right up there
with random, bizarre and flat out
peculiar.
According to a recently published
book called ‘CR7′ that is all about
Cristiano Ronaldo, it claims that the
Portuguese superstar and reigning
FIFA World Player of the Year has an
obvious advantage over his
competitors.
Ronaldo has an extra bone in his
ankle.
Yeah, you read that right.
The 28-year-old Real Madrid forward
has a bone in his ankle which only
10 percent of humans beings have,
thus allowing him the ability to
create his famous free kicks and
shooting from distance. The power,
dip and accuracy Ronaldo generates
from kicking his foot up and down
on the ball puts spin on the ball
and helps it to deceive goalkeepers.
Isn’t that just good technique that
Ronaldo has perfected after hours of
hard work on the training ground?
Perhaps.
Yet this book’s claim may also play a
big part in one of the most stunning
shots the soccer world has ever
seen, as a free kick or free shot
outside the box from Cristiano gives
opposition goalkeepers sleepless
nights.
